Becca
A U T O B I O G R A P H Y
( « ) My name is Becca and I'm a 17 year old (18 in July) senior. I attend J. J. Kelly High School and I have since I was a freshman. I was born and raised in the same one horse town and to be completely honest, I love it here and I have no desire to leave. I will be attending UVA-Wise in the fall and I intend on pursuing a degree in Elementary Education, to become either a kindergarten teacher or a middle school English teacher. I admit that I am addicted to the Internet, so I can be found on LiveJournal and AIM most of the time.

JUST YOU AND I
( « ) I truly have the most amazing boyfriend in the world. Matt and I have been together since 05/24/2003, which makes almost 2 years that we have been together. I can honestly say that I would not be the same person I am right now if he had not come into my life. I unbelievably, head over in heels in love with him and even though a lot of people doubt a committed relationship at a young age, I'm sure that we'll last. Each and every day spent with him is the hugest blessing, and I am so thankful for him. <3
* Our love can do miracles. *

THE JOURNAL
( « ) My journal is friends only and will always be friends only. I like to know who is reading what I have to say. If I don't know you, chances are I will not add you, so there's no use in even asking. Every once in awhile you might see a public entry slip out, but that doesn't happen very often. I update sporadically; sometimes my updates will come every day, and sometimes I go a week or more without updating.

CREDITS
( « ) I make all of my own graphics -- icons, layouts, etc. Most of the pictures I use are my own. My brushes generally come from Peach-Blush, although I have several more that I have no idea where I got them from.
DO NOT for any reason comment in my journal, e-mail me, or send me an IM seeking help for your LiveJournal. If you do, you will only succeed in annoying me and you will be banned from my LJ, no questions asked. There are plenty of overrides and graphics help communities out there. Be considerate!

in honor of the ever-nearing christmas holiday, i present you with an "A Christmas Story" themed layout, complete with themed comments links! i thought this was appropriate, no? ;) enjoy! oh, by the way, it might look goofy if your screen resolution is below 1024x768.
as a side note, i believe i might change journals. i have one that i created forever ago, becca_lynn2005, and i believe i like that username better than this one. what do you all think??

=== "I fell in love with you the second I laid eyes on you; it had nothing to do with the way you looked. There was something in your eyes, and then I found out what was in your heart." ===
Haven't updated in what seems like forever! And I really don't have much of a decent excuse, either. I've just been somewhat lazy since school started back.
School has been okay...rather boring, but okay. Nothing is too terrible; my classes are all right, my teachers are all right. I probably couldn't pick a favorite class as of yet, but my easiest is definitely Life Planning (not that I expected it to be hard). My hardest is most definitely AP History, as I had expected. It's really odd to not have my teacher being all, "Do your homework, study for your test..." Mrs. Abbott doesn't tell us that we need to study; she gives us out a calendar at the beginning of the month, and we're responsible for the assignments and such for the month. Not used to having things be like that. All the other teachers at the high school really baby you, and remind you again and again about tests and homework that is due and all that. My first test in AP History (which Mrs. Abbott says her students usually average a 50 on) is Monday. I'm nervous. I plan on studying my booty off this weekend!
Tomorrow is our first football game...it's against Pound. Hopefully we'll win, and if we don't, then the coaches should just decide that the rest of the season isn't worth playing (like Jenny said). We have a pep rally during fourth block tomorrow, too...I swear, I am going to cry my eyes out when I see the guard. Not only because they are pathetically pathetic, but also because I miss guard so much. I miss the drama, the fights, the tears, the feeling of exhilaration after an amazing show, the feeling of anticipation as the judge at a competition announces, "And the winner is...", my parents (Michael and Daniel...oh, I miss them so!), my second family, the closeness and the bond that I shared with the rest of the guard, knowing that we look good and that we are good, feeling like you are on top of the world...Gosh, I miss everything. I want things to go back to how they were. But that's impossible...and I know that. Nothing will ever be the same. Elegance will never be the same.
*cry*
Ugh, anyway. Tomorrow after the game there's a dance at the high school and Matt and I are going. Since Jenny bought tickets and signed Bryan up to be approved, I'm assuming that they are going as well. That should be fun...even though I'm really not a dancer, and Matt is. =) LOL.
Jenny and I might be staying after school to help the guard girls with their hair and make-up. They can at least look good, even if their skills aren't the best! That's my opinion, anyway.
I have a little bit of homework to finish so I guess I better go now!
